Volunteer Awards
New this year, in conjunction with the Spring Fling, the NEEF Board has developed a great way to recognize individuals and groups that have been key in our development and operations. Nominations are being accepted for “Volunteer of the Year Award” and “Friend of the Ney Nature Center.” Both awards will be presented during our annual Spring Fling, Saturday, April 28, 2012.
To make nominations for either Award download the form and return to the NNC office by March 15th, 2012.
NNC Volunteer of the Year Award Form This award recognizes an individual (or group of individuals) who has made a significant contribution to the Ney Nature Center through their dedication and service; has donated their time, talents and energy to conserve, manage and protect the NNC; and shares a common goal of inspiring generations to learn and experience nature through observation and education.
NNC Outstanding Friend Award Form This award recognizes an individual (or group of individuals) who shows continued support to the Ney Nature Center through their dedication and support of the mission of the NNC to conserve, manage and protect the NNC; and shares a common goal of inspiring generations to learn and experience nature through observation and education.
Friends of the Ney Nature Center
Please consider supporting our work at the Ney Nature Center (NNC) with your time and talents. Friends of the Ney Nature Center would like to invite you to join them as a volunteer for the NNC. Volunteer opportunities range from leading sessions to serving snacks at one of our day camps to tree trimming and trail maintenance on workdays. You can choose to volunteer as much or as little as you would like.
As a Friend of the NNC, you will receive notification of volunteer opportunities allowing you to pick and choose when and what you’d like to do. In return, the NNC would like to create development opportunities for volunteers. We will have programs to provide resources and training for interested volunteers.
The Ney Nature Center is a partner with the RSVP program.
