Summer Day Camp 2018

The Ney Nature Center offers nature and adventure themed summer day camps for campers entering first through eighth grade. Registration opens on Monday, January 15th. Each camp can accommodate up to 18 campers and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kites, Wings, and Flying Things Camp

Grand Explorers Camp

Bluebirds (Ages 6-8 plus an adult): August 6-7 (M-Tu) 9am-12pm

Grandparents and grandfriends are invited to join us for this exciting adventure! Campers attend each day with an adult and participate in nature hikes, crafts, and outdoor activities. One adult per camper may attend free of charge.

Outdoor Challenge Camp (ONLY 1 SPOT REMAINING!)

Once this camp is full, a waitlist will be created and a second session will be opened when the list reaches 10 campers.

Wild Nature Camp

Information for all camps

  • All camps will meet at the Education Building unless otherwise posted.
  • Your camper should bring a sack lunch and a reusable water bottle everyday. Refrigerators and microwaves are not always accessible to campers so we recommend a “cold” lunch. An afternoon snack will be provided to keep your camper energized throughout the day. We encourage participants to bring a low-waste lunch using reusable containers and lunch box. This helps us to reduce the amount of waste thrown away at lunch time and be good stewards of the environment!
  • Campers should always bring bug spray and sunscreen and apply it before arriving. Campers should also dress for the weather including close-toed shoes and a poncho or rain jacket. We will spend time outside each day as long as there is no severe weather.
  • There is a maximum of 20 campers per camp so be sure to register early! (10 campers plus 10 adults for Grand Explorers)
