  • Sundays – 1pm to 4pm
  • Monday to Wednesday – 10am to 5pm
  • Thursday and Friday – 10am to 7pm
  • Saturdays – 10am to 4pm

Free to visit and explore, with activities for all ages.

  • Lifelong Learner Lunch | August 21st from 12pm to 1:30pm
  • Lichen Love: A World in Miniature | August 23rd from 10am to 11:30am
  • Water is Wonderful Storytime | September 13th from 10am to 11:30am
  • Braided Textile Workshop | September 28th from 1pm to 3:00pm

Preregistration is required for all events.

Volunteer as a Docent

We are looking for individuals interested in overseeing the exhibit during open hours. This volunteer role would include welcoming people to the exhibit, answering questions, tidying up the exhibit space as needed, and counting visitors. Interested? Contact us.

 We are Water MN is led by the Minnesota Humanities Center in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; the Minnesota Historical Society; the Board of Water and Soil Resources; the Minnesota Departments of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources; and University of Minnesota Extension. 

We are Water MN is funded in part with money from the Clean Water, Land, & Legacy Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 and by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
